Very good French food and wine.  Service was very good - welcoming, friendly and non-intrusive,  Good value.  Would go back again.

L'Essentiel Limoges

High score on TripAdvisor, we ordered maincourse tagliatelle seafood and my partner risotto schrimps and clams. Normally risotto needs chefs attention, unfortunatelly the Risotto was not at all &lsquo;al dente&rsquo; it was over cooked sticky too and a lot of Cream/ cheese in it, this last part is of course chefs choice. The Schrimps had still the Intestinal tube in it. So, both orders taste good. Schrimps &ldquo;not clean&rdquo;, risotto bad over cooked! The texture of Clamps could be purchased of better quality. Altough taste was good.

The restaurant is in a lively area near the cathedral. Opt for a seat outside to watch the crowds. We arrived early (7:15) and got out orders in before the crowd arrived. Food was excellent- portions were generous but not over the top. Flavour, freshness and quality of food was excellent. Service friendly and fast even though the gentleman was working mostly on his own. Highly impressive!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially as they had trainees with them. The food was not good. The duck was tough and the potato stone cold. My husband had the prawn salad which had very few prawns in - they had been cut in half to look like a bigger portion. Would not recommend.

Tr&egrave;s belle d&eacute;couverte au d&eacute;tour d&#39;un d&eacute;placement professionnel. Les plats &eacute;taient tr&egrave;s savoureux notamment l&#39;entr&eacute;e, un oeuf poch&eacute; et ses accompagnements de lardons, champignons dans une sauce assez surprenante que j&#39;ai beaucoup appr&eacute;ci&eacute;. Le tartare &eacute;tait bien pr&eacute;par&eacute; ! La serveuse &eacute;tait sympathique comme tout. Je recommande !

Excellent restaurant, le personnel est tr&egrave;s sympa et les plats copieux et d&eacute;licieux. Le sabl&eacute; fa&ccedil;on Paris brest est une vraie d&eacute;couverte. Je le recommande vivement
